Half way between Ludlow and Hereford, Leominster is one of the largest towns in Herefordshire but only a few miles from the south Shropshire border. At the confluence of the River Lugg and its tributary the River Kenwater, it is a thriving historic market town linked to Shropshire by the main A49 trunk road that spans the whole county.
