On-call firefighters in south Shropshire recognised for saving woman
Two of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service’s on-call firefighters were awarded Chief Fire Officer Commendations for their actions which helped save a woman’s life.
A small town on the Welsh border with south Shropshire, Clun has been named by the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England as one of the most tranquil locations in England. Popular with walkers, it sits on the Offa's Dyke path and boasts its own ruined castle that towers above the town. Every year the town hosts a unique Green Man Festival to welcome the spring.
