Scores of stranded fish rescued after part of river dries up
Fisheries staff rushed to the rescue of more than 160 fish that had become stranded in a south Shropshire river.
A small town on the Welsh border with south Shropshire, Clun has been named by the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England as one of the most tranquil locations in England. Popular with walkers, it sits on the Offa's Dyke path and boasts its own ruined castle that towers above the town. Every year the town hosts a unique Green Man Festival to welcome the spring.
