A 65-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after slipping off a stile and hitting his head during a walk along Shropshire Way.
The man, a member of the Clun Amblers, was one of 19 ramblers out for a walk close to the River Unk, north of Clun, when he slipped at 10.40am yesterday.
Maurice Young, from the Clun Amblers, said: "He was getting over a double stile and his foot slipped off the foot board and he fell on his head."
The walker was flown to Selly Oak Hospital.
