The Marches Choir present Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man
On June 28, following their recent successful Puccini concert, and signalling a departure from their usual summer opera concerts, the Marches Choir are presenting Karl Jenkins’ ‘The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace’ at St John’s Church, Bishop's Castle. The piece is a strikingly innovative choral work with a very contemporary message. Written in 1999, it reflects on the passing of the most war-torn and destructive century in human history, and ‘looks forward in hope to a more peaceful future’.
