'A truly magical space': Shropshire children's hospice opens new garden for youngsters and families
Hope House Children’s Hospice in Oswestry has unveiled a new sensory and sentimental space for its children and families to enjoy year-round.


Situated on the outskirts of Oswestry, Morda is possibly best known for its football club - Morda United FC, who play their home games at the Weston Road Ground. The club has a a big history in county football, first founded as 'Morda F.C' in the 1800s, but folded in the mid 1900s. Following this the club was reformed in the 1970s under the name of Morda United FC. Historically the village is also known for Oswestry's Workhouse, which was situated in Morda. It was opened in 1792 as a communal workhouse for Oswestry Hundred, Chirk and Llansilin.
