Appeal after train assault threat

Police are appealing for information after a passenger threatened an off duty staff member who told him to stop smoking on a train between Wrexham and Ruabon.

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man who is wanted with regards to the threatening behaviour, that happened on January 21 at around 1.45pm.

A man on board the train between Wrexham General and Ruabon, is alleged to have threatened to assault an off duty member of rail staff after they told him to stop smoking.

According to British Transport Police, the main continued his threatening behaviour until he left the train station at Ruabon.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 227 of 21/01/19.
