More than 30 new jobs will be created in Market Drayton when a new pub opens its doors following a £1 million revamp.

The JD Wetherspoon pub is expected to open on November 26 in the old Kwik Save building on Queen Street.

A spokesman for the pub chain said the building would have 3,500 sq ft of customer space.

The pub chain is also in talks to open a new £1 million pub at Pride Hill Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury.
