The Radnorshire side have continued where they left off last season - and also remain unbeaten after eight games with five wins and three draws from their season opening games

Saturday saw them pick up a 3-1 victory over Kerry - their third win in the last five games.

It took less than a minute for them to take the lead in the clash - as striker Kieran Dovey fired home with just seconds on the clock.

The lead did not last long though - as Kerry were level four minutes later thanks to Ed Clarke.

It remained that way in what was a tight affair at times - before Tom Wozencraft set up Dovey to pick up his second of the game and edge the hosts back in front with 19 minutes of normal time left to play.

And then three minutes from time the game was all sealed up as striker and captain Luke Boundford set up Callum Stead to put the game beyond all doubt.

Elsewhere, fellow promoted side Llanrhaeadr looked to have given their season a kickstart as they pulled off a shock with a 4-1 battering of third placed Cefn Albion.

The Waterfallmen had won just two of their eight games heading into the fixture and found themselves behind after just ten minutes as Dion Gibbins handed the Wrexham based side the lead.

But by half time they were level as Will Roberts Morris latched onto a Will Howard ball to make it 1-1 at the break.

Within two minutes of the restart they had turned the game around as striker Billy Clarke, who recently returned to the club from Penrhyncoch, poked home.

Then six minutes later they were flying towards a memorable victory as Will Howard slotted home from 12 yards after the hosts had been handed a penalty.

The match was then all sewn up by Jacob Edwards on 72 minutes to give Mike Barton's men a real boost after a tough start to the season.

Elsewhere, Llandrindod Wells picked up a point at home to Corwen but it is now four games without a win for the midtable Spamen.

Tom Mann had put Corwen into the lead on the half hour mark - and they were in front until fourth minute of added on time at the end of the second period.

It looked as though the home side were looking at a third defeat in four games - but Tom Durant bagged a 94th equaliser to rescue a point.

Llanfair United's recently good run of form came to an end as they were beaten 2-0 at home against Rhos Aelwyd.

They were looking to move into the top six with a win - but a goal in both halves was enough to give the North Wales side the points.

In the other games, Penycae were beaten 5-0 at home against leaders Llanuwchllyn.

This weekend strugglers Builth Wells face a big home clash as they welcome Llanrhaeadr - while Bow Street are back in action in the league against Cefn Albion.

The big game of the day comes in Denbighshire - as the top two face of with leaders Llanuwchllyn welcoming Knighton Town.
