Jack Price targets maximum points from Wolves' home double
Midfielder Jack Price believes Wolves need to target maximum points from their upcoming home games as they look to maintain an early season challenge in the top of the Championship.
Walter Zenga's team face back-to-back games against Burton and Barnsley at Molineux over the course of four days as they return to league action following the international break.
Both visiting sides have themselves enjoyed bright starts to the season, with Barnsley sitting third in the table. But an ambitious Price feels the incentive is on Wolves to make the most of home advantage.
"We're on a decent run at home and need to get as many points as we can from these next two games," he said.
"It is always tough but we have to aim for six points to try and keep us up there and climbing the table.
"That would put us in a great position in the table and mentally would help with how we are feeling as well.
"We have to play as we know we can and with the ability we have in the squad, if we do that we have a chance in any game."
Burton are the first visitors to Molineux on Saturday, followed by Barnsley on Tuesday evening. Wolves will be eager to bounce back from the disappointment of losing 1-0 at Huddersfield prior to the fortnight break, a result which halted some of the momentum built during an encouraging first few weeks for Zenga's reign.
"We were unbeaten up until the Huddersfield game and it was disappointing that run came to an end," said Price.
"We didn't have a great start in that match but we got into the game towards the end of the first half and had so many chances to equalise in the second.
"As the gaffer has said, we win some and will lose some and have to learn from that and we just have to concentrate on getting back to a positive performance against Burton on Saturday.
"We've had eight points from the first five games so which is a reasonable start. That was in the first batch of games when there were a lot of changes so we now need to get at least that much again in these next group of games."
He went on: "There have been a lot of changes with the gaffer coming in and the new signings.
"The new lads seem to have settled in well and the lads already here have adapted well to the gaffer."
