AWOL striker Bright Enobakhare to return to Wolves
AWOL Wolves striker Bright Enobakhare is to end his self-imposed absence from the club and return to training.
The 17-year-old hadn't been in contact for a week and concerns were growing for his whereabouts.
There were even fears he had fled to his native Nigeria.
However Wolves finally met with the teenager on Monday afternoon and he is now set to return to Compton Park 'this week'.
In a statement Wolves said: "Wolves can confirm that club officials have today met with striker Bright Enobakhare and he is expected to return to training this week.
"The 17-year-old youngster had been absent for almost two weeks due to a family issue, but has remained in the local area.
"Head coach Kenny Jackett said earlier today that while Enobakhare had initially been granted a few days compassionate leave, the club had since been expecting him to return to Compton Park.
"Officials have met with the striker this afternoon and agreed that he will return to training.
"Wolves now consider the matter to be closed, and ongoing support and discussion with Enobakhare will remain confidential."
Earlier today Wolves boss Kenny Jackett told the Express & Star that the club had no idea where Enobakhare was.
He has continued to post on social media in his absence, uploading pictures to Instagram.
And at around 5.30pm today he posted a cryptic message, soon deleted, which said: "Never give up, there is no such thing as an ending, just a new beginning."
The young Nigerian was last seen at the club on Wednesday November 11.
Wolves had contact with him on the phone last week and were given the impression he was set to return to Africa, but it is believed he has remained in England the whole time.
The club will now hope to draw a line under the embarrassing saga.
The youngster arrived in the country almost three years ago and was spotted playing Sunday league football.
He has made four appearances for the first team and scored three minutes into his debut, against Barnet.
