Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett today admitted he expects Bakary Sako to be sold before the transfer window closes.

Sako's move to Fulham remains deadlocked, with the Cottagers not budging on their £2.5m valuation including add-ons and Wolves holding out for £4m-plus.

It means the 25-year-old winger is set to start the season still a Wolves player for the big kick-off at Preston next Saturday.

But Jackett believes Sako's future will be resolved away from Molineux.

"The likelihood is someone will come in for him and, yes, we must have a plan B," said Jackett.

"But it's a question of if and when someone comes in at the right level."

Jackett, however, insists Sako remains ready to play for Wolves if required.

"He's fully focused and has trained hard," said the boss. "Should he earn a place then he will play at Preston.

"He looks fully fit and he's had a good pre-season. Should I select him I expect him to be available."
