AFC Telford's Sean Cooke joins Nantwich
AFC Telford United midfielder Sean Cooke has rejoined former club Nantwich Town on loan until the end of the season.
Cooke first joined the Dabbers in 2011 following trials with Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic, but the 22-year-old left the Weaver Stadium for AFC Fylde in February 2013.
In May of that year, he was brought to Telford by then-boss Liam Watson and the team won the Conference North title the following spring.
But his future at the club was placed in doubt earlier this month after a dressing room row with current Bucks chief Steve Kittrick.
Speaking after Telford's 3-3 draw at Eastleigh, in which Cooke was not involved, Kittrick pulled no punches.
He said: "He was asked to go onto that pitch today and do some running and he said no so, as far as I am concerned, he is finished at this club."
This is Cooke's second loan spell away from the New Bucks Head, having previously gone out to AFC Fylde for part of last season after falling out of favour with Watson.
He returned to the New Bucks Head for the start of the new season and has played 21 league games this season but has been in and out of the starting line-up.
He was transfer listed last week and Nantwich boss manager Phil Parkinson said: "I am delighted to bring back Sean Cooke to Nantwich Town.
"He was a fan favourite in his previous spell at the club. His experience at Telford will be critical to us in our push to beat the drop this season.
"We are extremely grateful that Steve Kittrick and Telford United have allowed us to bring him in on loan."
Cooke will go into the squad for tomorrow's game against Halesowen Town.
