The 31-year-old scored the winner in their play-off semi-final against Halesowen on Wednesday - a match they won 3-2 in front of more than 3,000 fans.

The striker has been prolific for the Bucks this campaign, and he popped up with another pivotal moment 12 minutes from time against the Yeltz when he capitalised on a mistake at the back to poke home.

And the Telford manager says he is as ‘trustworthy’ as there is in the division.

He said: “We are lucky to have a player like him, when he gets a moment and situation like he did, he is as trustworthy as there is in the league.

“He has done brilliant for us. You have got to be in the right place at the right time and have that composure to go and finish the job.

“He has certainly got that. We are lucky. Hopefully, we can wrap him up in cotton wool and get him out there for Monday.

“He is a big player for us, and with the greatest respect to the rest of the squad, we do not have another Matty Stenson in the group.

“You need your best players out there if we are going to be successful.

“Covering the ground now would not be his forte, he puts a whole lot of effort into it, and it is important that we play with him in the side a little bit more efficiently.”

Telford have a huge clash now on Monday when they make the trip to Kettering for the final and a chance of promotion.
