Kevin Wilkin discusses future of three AFC Telford loanees
AFC Telford United boss Kevin Wilkin has confirmed both Jakub Kruszynski and Joe Morris have been recalled by their parent clubs, but may not have played their last games for the club.
The pair were surprise omissions from the Bucks’ matchday squad for Tuesday evening’s 6-2 thrashing of Bedford United, as Wilkin was only able to name three substitutes on the bench.
And with fellow-loanee Alex Gudger also absent, the Telford boss explained the current situation surrounding all three players ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Harborough Town.
“Jakub got recalled on Tuesday afternoon because he still has an issue with his knee, and he and the medical staff at Mansfield are still unhappy about it,” Wilkin revealed. “It wasn’t down to the academy manager or anything like that, it was their medical team that made that decision which is a shame.”
