Bridgnorth racer Michael Rutter revved up with new sponsorship deal
Michael Rutter will be riding BMW machinery throughout this year's British Superbike Championship and road racing campaign.
The Bridgnorth-based rider officially unveiled his new motorbikes at Bathams brewery, The Vine pub, in Brierley Hill.
Rutter will enter the 2014 British Superbike Championship with the full backing of the Black Country brewery after they agreed to be his main sponsors once again.
He will be riding BMW 1000s under team IWR, along with Swiss rider, Patrick Muff, who will be his team-mate this year in the BSB.
Rutter will also be racing at the International North West 200 road races in Northern Island, where he has already picked up 13 wins, followed by the Isle of Man TT races, where he broke a 130mph average lap around the famous 37.73 mile course last year for the first time.
The road racing campaign will also be backed by Bathams and Rutter will form another two-man team, with Irishman Stephen Thompson.
The first race of the BSB season will take place at Brands Hatch in Kent over the Easter weekend, April 19 to April 20.
The North West 200 will be held in May, with practice week and race week at the Isle of Man TT running from May 24 until June 6.
