Shrewsbury World Cup star Joe Hart is among 23 England players to have had a wall in their hometown painted with their shirt number and the name of the place in which they grew up as part of a campaign.

The Manchester City goalkeeper made Fabio Capello's squad for the finals in South Africa and in homage to the team, England kit-makers Umbro have created the wall art in every home town of the playing squad.

The concept is based on Umbro's Tailored by England campaign.

Joe's squad number of 23 is painted in white letters on a green background on a wall next to Mansers Antiques in Coleham Head with the lettering underneath reading "Tailored by Shrewsbury" and the Umbro logo.

Umbro has even gone to the extent of creating a wall in Italy to celebrate manager Capello's roots in his hometown of San Canzian D' Isonzo.

Joe, who grew up in Shrewsbury and attended the town's Meole Brace School, said: "To say I'm tailored in Shrewsbury makes me extremely proud.

"I was born in Shrewsbury, went to school in Shrewsbury and made my professional debut for Shrewsbury Town."

Fabio Capello said the players' home towns had contributed to their development.

He said: "Every England player has a history, a story, of how they came to be here at the top of the professional game facing new challenges every step of the way."
