Michael Mancienne was today recalled to Chelsea and he may now play in their FA Cup tie against Southend as they deal with an injury to Alex and with captain John Terry still suspended.

Wolves are still looking to bring back the 20-year-old once Chelsea's injury situation eases.

Mancienne's emergency loan spell at Wolves had been due to be extended to January 29, but the completion of the paperwork was suspended as Chelsea reviewed their options following injury and suspension worries.

Wolves have allowed Mark Davies to remain on loan at Leicester until the end of January and he can play in the FA Cup this weekend.

And the club have kept keeper Shane Higgs for the rest of the month
