The Hungarian international suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in the game against Sheffield Wednesday in March last year and has not played in the first team since.
This season he has been restricted to just a 20-minute outing in a reserve friendly against Hereford in February.
Boss Mick McCarthy said: "Gabor will continue his rehab in Hungary. It's been a long time for him to be out - every time he looked like coming back he has had another setback.
"He's not finished and I hope he can get back playing again soon. I wish him well."
Meanwhile on-loan keeper Jan Budtz says the players can't wait for Sunday and the derby date.
The Doncaster shot stopper is relishing the televised lunchtime clash with Birmingham, whether he's retained in the starting line-up or as substitute to a fit-again Matt Murray.
He said: "You can feel the atmosphere in the squad. It's a big, big game."
Jan is waiting to discover when he has to return to his parent club but knows it is certain to be before the end of Wolves' regular season.
"I wish I had come here a bit later so I could have enjoyed the final games," he added. "But of course I'm going to keep in contact."
