Improvements to island almost complete
Improvements to a major traffic island in Telford are almost at an end.
The Ketley Brook roundabout has been widened as part of a £17.4 million scheme on the junction near Wrekin Retail Park, in Whitchurch Drive, which has caused motorists occasional delays.
The roadworks were due to end in March but over ran by six weeks.
Telford & Wrekin Council spokesman Russell Griffin said: "The works are substantially complete, and traffic management cones will be removed by the end of this week. Regarding the traffic signals, the configurations have been tested on site and are being reviewed.
"It is anticipated that they will be fully operational later this month. Until the signals are fully operational, give way signs will be in place at each of the intersections affected by the works."
