'Hero' hailed as emergency crews rescue injured walker from steep hillside in rural Shropshire
A villager has been hailed a "hero" after helping rescue an injured walker from a steep hillside late at night.

A well known sight in Shropshire, Stiperstones is a quartzite ridge formed some 480 million years ago. During the last Ice Age the summit stood out above the glaciers and was subject to constant freezing and thawing. It is also the location of the creepily named Devil's Chair and is a National Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it a haven for bird watchers and wildlife fans.
