Boy, 16, rescued from cliff face near Oswestry

A teenager had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck on a cliff near Oswestry.

The rescue happened just before 10pm on Sunday at the Llanymynech rocks, a popular beauty spot near to the local golf club.

The 16-year-old was stranded on the cliffs, unable to go up or down.

Fire crews from Oswestry, Welshpool and Shrewsbury went to the scene along with police and the teenager was treated by ambulance paramedics.
