Councillors in Market Drayton vote to provide £22,000 in funding for weekly youth sessions
More than £22,000 has been allocated to ensure "valuable" youth club sessions in Market Drayton can continue next year.

In 1245 King Henry III granted a charter for a weekly Wednesday market, giving Market Drayton its current name. The market is still held every Wednesday and attracts residents from all over Shropshire. The town is also home to Muller dairy and sausage maker Palethorpe's bakery.
