A productive and fertile block of Shropshire arable and pasture land is to be sold by formal tender next month.
Auctioneers Halls are selling the 246 acres of land at Weston House, Much Wenlock, either as a whole or in four lots following the de-merger of a farming partnership.
Tenders must be received by Halls, Welsh Bridge, Shrewsbury by 3pm on February 12.
The arable land, which is Grade Two on the Defra land classification map, is divided into three fields located immediately adjacent to the B4368 Bridgnorth to Craven Arms road. The fields vary in size from 75.71 acres to 80.43 acres.
Lot four comprises a 10.45 acres of permanent pasture, which has a natural water supply and access to the minor road that runs from Weston to Netchwood and Ditton Priors.
"The productive arable land is versatile and easily worked and has been farmed to an excellent standard of husbandry for many years," said Peter Willcock, Halls' managing director.
"Since 2002, it has been farmed on a contract farming agreement with very respectable yields of 3.89 tonnes per acre of wheat and 1.22 tonnes per acre of oil seed rape having been achieved."
