Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) is inviting residents of Herefordshire and Worcestershire to have their say on the Service’s strategic plan for 2025-2030, which is known as the Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP)

The CRMP is designed to enable the Service to assess all foreseeable fire and rescue related risks, while ensuring it continues to fulfil the legislative requirements placed upon it.

The objective of the CRMP is to ensure the appropriate allocation of available resources aligned to response, protection and prevention functions, and to utilise these resources in the most efficient manner to mitigate risk and improve community safety.

A number of supporting documents have also been prepared to provide further background information on the identification and assessment of risks in the CRMP report and these can be found on the Service’s website at www.hwfire.org.uk

Your views can be shared by completing an online questionnaire https://online.ors.org.uk/questionnaire/2654D41?clear_session=true&language=en which is being facilitated by ORS (an independent specialist social research practice) who will also provide an impartial analysis of all responses.

The consultation report and any changes to the CRMP will be reported to the Fire Authority to gain final approval, prior to publication in October 2025.

The consultation closes on April 6. All comments will be considered carefully and will help assist us in shaping the final document.
