The Bard is back at Ludlow Festival

All the world's a stage . . . the curtain has gone up on an all-new Shakespeare Festival in Ludlow, which has returned to the town following a two-year break.

The Shakespeare Festival started on Saturday with a performance of As You Like It, in Ludlow Castle, starring actors John Challis and Eric Potts, best known as Boycie, from Only Fools and Horses, and Diggory Potts, from Coronation Street.

It will run until June 22 before concerts, comedy and other entertainment will strike up at the castle from June 28 until July 6.

The event will feature matinee performances tomorrow and on Saturday in addition to evening performances each night from 8pm. There will be an earlier performance on Sunday, at 6pm.

Tickets are available at the box office, starting from £20.
