The claim has been sold to German global banking group Deutsche Bank.

It means the council has recovered £920,000 of the £1 million that was originally deposited with Landsbanki in 2008 by the former Bridgnorth District Council.

Landsbanki was one of the largest Icelandic commercial banks that failed as part of the country's financial crisis between 2008-2011.
