Popular Market Drayton garden invites visitors
A garden on the Shropshire border will open its gates to visitors on every weekend in February and March.
The Dorothy Clive Garden, near Market Drayton, will be open from 10am until 4pm at a discounted price.
The cost will be £3.50 for adults, £2 for youngsters aged from five to 17, and free for children under five.
Curator Marcus Chilton-Jones said: "We are pleased to open the garden again for weekends enabling visitors and members to delight in the emerging spring bulbs and to view the many improvements we have implemented over the closed period.
"We are in the process of clearing for a new winter garden for 2015, to be used for the enjoyment and benefit of the public, and which will support our charitable objectives of continuing horticultural education."
The Dorothy Clive Garden will also be hosting a special fundraising event for families on February 16 to celebrate National Nest Box Week.
The event, which will take place between noon and 4pm, will be attended by representatives from the British Trust for Ornithology, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, RSPB and the Battlefield Falconry Centre.
These groups will provide various talks and activities for children which demonstrate how to encourage bird life in the garden.
