Woman cut free from car in tractor crash
A woman in her 60s had to be cut free from her 4x4 and needed hospital treatment today after a collision with a tractor on a busy road on the Shropshire border.
Firefighters freed the woman following the crash on the A53 in Almington, near Market Drayton. She was examined at the scene and taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford to receive treatment for minor arm and neck injuries.
Police said the woman had been driving a silver Ford Ranger which was involved in the collision with a tractor shortly after 8.30am.
The road was blocked for a short time while firefighters worked to free the woman, causing delays for motorists using the road.
