A Shropshire motor dealership is keeping one of Britain's paralympic coaches on the road in the run-up to the London 2012 games.
Sinclair Thomas, from Newport, is the Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball assistant coach, and is currently helping the team prepare for this year's games.
He has just taken delivery of a new Ford Galaxy from the Furrows dealership in Haybridge Road in Telford, as part of the Motability scheme. "It really is a great car with plenty of room which is very important because I've got five children and I also need lots of space for my chair," he said.
Sinclair, who has been involved in wheelchair basketball since the 2000 Games in Sydney, is also head coach of the Telford College of Art and Technology (TCAT) Rhinos wheelchair basketball team.
"We're the number one team in the country, and we're also involved in a programme with projects across Telford and Shrewsbury, so there's a lot of travelling involved," he said.
Telford Furrows sales manager Antony Frost said: "We're very pleased to have been able to help Sinclair find the right vehicle to suit his needs."
The GB men's team is now in training for this year's Games, and they're hoping to build on their success in last year's World Championships where they won a gold medal for the first time in 15 years.
