Shrewsbury Carnival 2018: Where to watch this year's parade
Dancing, displays and a town centre parade - it's time for the annual Shrewsbury Carnival.

The sun might not be shining as brightly as last year but there's still plenty of fun to be had, according to carnival secretary Shelley Oliver.
"We are looking forward to another great event, we have over 20 entrants in this year's parade and a full line-up of entertainment," she said.
"From dance acts to musicians and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service with a demonstration in the main arena, there is something for all the family."

Starting in the Quarry at 10am, the theme for this year's event is musicals.
As well as the on-stage entertainment, there is a fun fair, local food and drink and trade and charity stalls.
Last year, 22 local charities benefitted from the thousands of pounds raised from donations made during the Shrewsbury Carnival day.
Funding from this year's donations will be awarded to charities who are invited to apply for a share of the money in July.
Who's performing in the Quarry?
The carnival starts at 10am and the first act on stage is the Shropshire Ukele Massive at 11am.
Performances will then continue throughout the day, with the Groove Dynamite Band finishing the show at 4pm.
The approximate running order is:
11.45 - Topaz Gems
12pm - Alisha Jayne Dance Academy
12.45pm - Belvidere School Dancers
1pm - KC Dance Centre
1.15pm - Viv Kelly Dancers
2pm - Parade departs
3pm - Display from Shropshire Fire and Rescue
3.30pm - KC Dancers
3.45pm - StageCoach
4pm - The Groove Dynamite Band
Where can I watch the parade?
Starting at 2pm, the procession will exit the Quarry Park onto Smithfield Road via Victoria Quay.

It will continue along the river before turning right towards the train station and right again onto Castle Street.
It will then follow the one-way system through the town centre to Dogpole.
At the top of Wyle Cop it will turn right into High Street and continue around the town centre, down Mardol Head towards the Welsh Bridge and back into the Quarry via Victoria Quay.
Which roads will be closed?
The following roads will be closed at 1:30pm:
Victoria Avenue, Victoria Quay, Smithfield Road, Castle Gates, Castle Street, St. Mary’s Street, Dogpole, High Street, Shoplatch, Bellstone, Barker Street, Bridge Street, Roushill and Raven Meadows.
There will be no access over the Welsh Bridge from Frankwell into town and traffic will be stopped at the sorting office in Castle Foregate.
The only traffic allowed past the closure at the English Bridge Gyratory will be for access to businesses in Wyle Cop or to travel along Town Walls.
The roads will re-open as soon as the carnival parade has reached the Quarry and safety checks have been completed.
