GHA Coaches: Buses for sale after firm goes into administration
More than 80 former school buses and coaches are up for sale on an online auction following the collapse of the firm that owned them.
The collection for sale features 89 former buses and coaches owned by GHA Coaches, which include double and single deckers, school buses, as well as mini and midi buses.
The auction is being coordinated by the Landwood Group, based in Manchester, acting for the administrators, after the coach firm was plunged into administration last month after failing to pay a tax bill of £700,000.
The current highest bid stands at £52,250 for a Volvo B7R coach, with the lowest being £150 for a 52 plate white Citroen Berlingo.
Bidding is currently under way and will close on Thursday at 11am. A lot viewing day will be held on Tuesday between 10am and 4pm at the former GHA Coaches site in Ruabon.
The collapse of the firm resulted in the loss of more than 300 jobs, as well as leaving communities across Shropshire without transport.
