Rockford IT, a leading Telford based managed IT service provider, is celebrating its 10th year in business.

From the company's base at Grosvenor House, Central Park, Telford, the company now has more than 130 UK customers, from small businesses through to large national companies, many of whom have been with the company for a number of years.

Having reached such a milestone there's no time for the firm to sit back and reflect, says Managing Director and founder Tom Sykes: "We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved in 10 years and its testament to the very hard working, dedicated team we have. This year was the biggest in our history.

"We have ambitious plans to continue to grow the company while ensuring our deliverance of the unique, personal service that stands us out from many of our competitors."

Rockford IT merged with global web enabled managed software company and fellow Telford based firm APT Solutions early in 2011, as a move to help continue to grow the company and open its 2nd data centre, launched at the beginning of this year.

Mr Sykes added: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their dedication over the past 10 years. We have very much enjoyed working with them and look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come."

The company offers first class managed IT solutions, from hosting and colocation services, through to Internet services, IT security and 12 or 24 hour IT support.

While the company history actually dates back further to 1994 when its sister firm Rockford Electronics was formed, initially as an electronics design consultancy, in 2001 Rockford IT Ltd was incorporated and the company began servicing IT support contracts for SMEs.

In 2003 Rockford became ISO 9001: 2000 certified, followed in 2005 by becoming a WatchGuard Professional partner and adding a range of Internet security services to its offering.

In 2006 the company moved into its prestigious Grosvenor House site, employing 12 staff. In the same year it became a Microsoft certified partner.

By 2008 Rockford IT had become ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certified; one of only 400 companies in the UK with the certification. In the same year Rockford IT launched its new data centre, and became finalists for "Best Green Business" at the Shropshire Business Awards in 2009 and 2010.

Rockford IT recently won the Best Partner Commitment award with worldwide security solutions partner, WatchGuard Technologies; the only UK company to win an award.

Last year the company launched its second data centre. The ISO 27001 environmentally friendly centre, with the latest security and high speed communications and security, has ensured the highest possible standards in hosting facilities.
