Hired hitman Michael Husbands believes he is ready to show AFC Telford United fans the prolific goalscoring form he enjoyed as a youngster at Aston Villa.
The 24-year-old, who has just begun a second month on loan to the Bucks from League Two side Macclesfield, is hoping a consistent run in the side will help him to unlock his talents.
Short spells at the likes of Walsall and Port Vale have ended in frustration, but Telford fans have already seen glimpses of what he can do.
"When I was in the youth team at Aston Villa I used to score all the time," said Husbands, who was hoping to be involved in today's trip to Tamworth.
"That's probably the only time throughout my career I've played consistently, and I know in myself that if I play consistently then the goals will just flow.
"Just in the four games I played here I could feel it coming back.
"I'm here to play football and that's what I want to be doing for the rest of the season, no matter where it is.
"The aim's got to be to get in the Macclesfield team because they pay my wages. If I do well then they're going to want me back and want me to play.
"I'm happy to play for Telford though, to do my best and try and score some goals."
Husbands' first month at Telford ended with two goals in his last two games - the first in a 3-1 win over Blyth Spartans and the second in a 4-2 defeat to Nuneaton in the Setanta Shield.
That second game saw him pick up a knock, but he is now close to full fitness once again.
"I enjoyed the first month," he added. "I played four games and scored in two and in each game I felt I was getting better.
"I was getting fitter and getting stronger and it was unfortunate in the last game that I picked up a slight injury and that just set me back a bit.
"It's a good club, though. I knew a few of the lads and those I didn't have welcomed me. I'm enjoying it."
