The Aussie singer and presenter teamed up with the Fron Male Voice Choir to record a new version of his 1960s' hit Two Little Boys in an Oswestry recording studio in the summer.
The single was recorded to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the end of World War One.
Rolf, 78, travelled to Ypres in Belgium to record a BBC documentary, A Family at War, to retrace the steps of his father, Cromwell, and his uncle Carl.
Originally from Wales, the two brothers had gone to Australia to seek their fortune and joined the Australian army.
Rolf was in Wales last month when he and members of the Fron Male Voice Choir attended the press launch of the project at the White Waters Hotel in Llangollen.
As well as the Two Little Boys single, the choir is releasing its third album, Voices of the Valley Home, and its debut DVD, Voices of the Valley Live, this month.
Members, many of whom come from the Oswestry area, hope the new version of Two Little Boys can repeat the original's success. It was the Christmas number one of 1969 and best-selling single of the year.
