The Montgomery & District Airgun League season ends on a high
A terrific turnout gathered for The Montgomery & District Airgun League end of season presentation evening at the Cobra Rugby Club in Meifod, writes John Bridgwater.
Chairman Martin Pearce welcomed members and guests to the event, before the vast array of trophies were presented to the league's hot-shots.
There was a special presentation to Megan Jones who has retired after 30 years of dedicated work and commitment to the league and to the sport as secretary.
The evening concluded with the chairman thanking Cobra Rugby Club for an excellent venue, and all those who helped in making the night such a success.
Alan Baker was thanked for making and engraving the trophies, vice-chairman Sarah Davies who organised the draw, and Jess Corbett who organised the presentation to Jones.
The league has also secured a new sponsor, Steve Forrester of AE Autoelectrical, based in Shrewsbury but covering huge parts of Mid Wales.
"We are very pleased and fortunate to have AE Autoelctrical as our sponsor," said Pearce. "We are very grateful to Steve for his support, and we hope our partnership will continue well beyond this season."
