Book in for tales of Steve Bull's Wolves years

Wolves legend Steve Bull is releasing a book to mark the 30th anniversary of his involvement with the club.

Published

The book, called Bully – Forever Wolves, forms part of events to mark the 306-goal striker's three decades at Molineux.

A dinner is being held at Molineux where Bully will be joined by many of his old team-mates from the squad he joined in November 1986, along with manager Graham Turner.

And the book will look back on Bully's remarkable 30-year association with Wolves. He played in gold and black for 13 years, playing 561 games and winning 13 England caps.

He has since become vice-president at the club and had a stand named after him.

The book will feature anecdotes from the 51-year-old's career and tell the story of how he went from working in a builder's yard in Tipton to representing his country in a World Cup in little more than half a decade.

A wide array of unseen photographs both from his career and behind the scenes will also feature in the book, as well as untold stories from his time at Wolves as Bully spills the beans on how close to came to taking the Molineux hot seat.

As part of the book, supporters are being asked to submit their favourite memories of Bully to be included in a special fans' section.

Favourite Bully stories, memories, anecdotes, moments and meetings, both on and off the field and involving Wolves, Bully's charity work or any other chance encounters, are welcomed.

The Express & Star and Wolves are both involved with the publication, which will be released in November, and want to hear from as many fans as possible.

Fan stories should be emailed to bullyforeverwolves@gmail.com, with full name included and any photos taken with Bully if possible.

All messages will be considered for publication and as many as possible will be used, depending on available space.

Bully – Forever Wolves will retail at £14.99 and be released to mark the 30th anniversary of the day he and Andy Thompson signed for Wolves. A number of signings will take place where people can meet the Wolves legend and get their book signed.

Tickets for the Bully anniversary dinner, which features Black Country comedy character Doreen, have already sold out.

Bully has also launched a new official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bullybully9wwfc
