Kenny Jackett: I know what Wolves need
Boss Kenny Jackett reckons he knows what improvements need to be made to get Wolves into the top six next season.
Strikers and wingers are likely to be high on Jackett's shopping list this summer – once a budget has been finalised.
The head coach revealed targets have already been lined up and wants Wolves will want to move quickly and decisively in the transfer market.
They have found problems finding replacements for the departed Bakary Sako and Benik Afobe in the past year.
Jackett told the Express & Star it was 'obvious' where Wolves needed strengthening and added: "The recruitment team have their targets.
"But how much money we have to spend, where we need to spend it – which is quite obvious I feel – and what market we're working in still has to be decided.
"In terms of the future, and the club improving and the team feeling like it's stepping on and improving, the summer is quite obviously a key time."
Of the current make-up of his squad, he added: "We're quite settled at the back, but would like more competition.
"In terms of our midfield, watching Jack Price and George Saville develop, Conor Coady's been good, Lee Evans is out on loan and will come (good), personally, and we have David Edwards who's a very reliable pro.
"There are strengths at the club. We're looking at that front-line to really take us forward.
"Then as a group - and this is a real big thing - the whole group moulding together and being a winning unit which can improve."
The Wolves chief is not pleased with the recent run of 0-0 draws at home would rather be breaking records for draws than for defeats.
He believes Wolves need two first-team players for every position if they're to challenge.
He said: "With the loan window being down (next season) you need to get to, if you can, two players for every position, and then you can perhaps talk about breaking into the top section.
"I do know what the standards are (in the top six) and what type of players we need to be effective in it."
