Benik Afobe completes move from Wolves to Bournemouth
Benik Afobe's £10 million move from Wolves to Bournemouth has been completed.
The 22-year-old has moved to the Premier League side in what is one of the biggest transfer deals in Wolves' history.
Afobe moved to Molineux almost a year ago to the day, joining from Arsenal for just £2m after impressing during a loan spell with MK Dons.
Since then he has scored 23 goals in 48 game in Wolves colours, and was the joint-highest goalscorer in English football last season.
Wolves had rejected three bids from Norwich City for the coveted striker last summer, the highest being £10m.
They also issued a statement ruling out Afobe being sold this season.
However, the departure of chairman Steve Morgan, who has put Wolves up for sale, means Wolves need to cash to finance new signings.
And after yesterday's 1-0 FA Cup defeat for West Ham, for which Afobe was left out of the squad, boss Kenny Jackett said his player had expressed a desire to play in the Premier League, both in the summer and in recent days.
Reports have suggested Afobe will earn £50,000 a week with the Cherries.
It is believed the transfer deal includes performance-related add-ons.
