Wolves defender Kortney Hause is central to Kenny's plans
Kortney Hause has been told his long-term future at Wolves is at centre-half – but Dominic Iorfa is set to remain a rampaging right-back.
Hause was substituted at half-time of Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough after being given a torrid time by winger Albert Adomah.
Kenny Jackett believes the 19-year-old, who has played all his Wolves first-team games at left-back, will return to his natural central position.
"He started off very well at left-back and we've had a lot of positive results with him playing there," said head coach Jackett.
"But for him to really play to his potential, it's left-sided centre-back he ultimately needs to go for and that's where I see his long-term future.
"It won't have done him any harm to get some early games in a wide position though and it's been a very good season for him.
"Often it takes people a long time to break into the Championship and he can be confident he can handle it.
"He's had a loan at Gillingham in League One, he's played for England Under-20s and he's had some very good games in the Championship.
"We want to finish off this season strong and I'm sure he'll play a big part."
Jackett admitted Hause was caught out for Boro's second goal when Adomah beat him and crossed for Patrick Bamford to score, and the former Wycombe man was replaced by Scott Golbourne at the break.
"He got caught 'two versus one' one for the goal and then again in the second period," said the boss. But we've won many games with Kortney and Dominic at full back.
"Certainly when we've had poor times defensively earlier in the season, those two have helped us to get clean sheets.
"But it was worth the gamble with Scott because I felt he was offering far more going forward.
"The players showed plenty of character and the game finished close, which is important for spirit and morale because there were games earlier in the season where we fell away."
As for Iorfa, Jackett believes the 19-year-old, who has had a stunning emergence with several man of the match awards, will remain a right-back.
"In time he could play in the centre, but right now, my plans are for him at right back," said the boss.
"His extreme pace and ability to bring the ball out are assets from there and defensively he's very sound.
"The last bit for him is working at his crossing, because his final ball is something he'll need to add."
