Wolves' Kenny Jackett: Destiny in our hands
Kenny Jackett today insisted Wolves' promotion destiny now lies in their own hands as they prepare for another acid test tomorrow.
Wolves go to Peterborough aiming to stretch their lead over their out-of-form promotion rivals to a whopping 14 points – an amount Posh boss Darren Ferguson says would be unassailable.
Molineux head coach Jackett believes Wolves' chances of returning to the Championship at the first attempt won't have to rely on any of their rivals slipping up.
"We can turn around and for the rest of the season say, 'it's up to us what we do'," said Jackett.
"We don't have to rely on anyone else falling away.
"It's not been an easy ride for us and we've had to earn everything we've got so far and so we must bear that in mind.
"Secondly, all we've done so far is give ourselves a good platform. We're in a good position – we're not a Bristol City or a Sheffield United who are chasing.
"So that's a good position to be in and now as a club we have to capitalise on that."
Jamie O'Hara returned to Wolves after his trial at Blackpool ended yesterday after the Tangerines opted against taking up the proposed loan for him.
It's understood boss Paul Ince wasn't convinced O'Hara's match fitness could see him play enough games over the next month.
