The £6.5m forward, who is set to win his 57th cap as he starts for Ireland tonight in their friendly in Poland while his club host Oldham in their FA Cup first-round replay, has had a new lease of life under head coach Kenny Jackett this season.

Doyle, 30, is enjoying his football again at Molineux and is determined to see the season through with what he hopes will be automatic promotion.

"I don't want to be there for half a season and go and see the lads get promoted or win the league without me," said Doyle.

"I hadn't experienced playing in League One before and I was trying to get my head around it but when you're winning games, it's enjoyable."

"We're getting fantastic support – we're getting 20,000 at games so playing for Wolves and playing at home is exciting.
