Slump by Wolves is serious – Stale Solbakken
Stale Solbakken today admitted Wolves' position is becoming "more serious" and ordered his players to get tough after last night's 2-1 defeat at Hull.
The Tigers setback made it just two points from the last 15 available and dropped Wolves into the bottom half of the table for the first time since the 3-1 defeat at Cardiff more than two months ago.
It also meant 13th-placed Wolves are now as close to the relegation zone as to leaders Crystal Palace – eight points.
Wolves' third successive away defeat came after Hull strikers Sone Aluko and Jay Simpson scored before James Chester's own goal gave the visitors hope.
Boss Solbakken's side host bogey team Brighton on Saturday and the Norwegian admitted their position is becoming more serious with each match.
"We're in a bad spell at the moment for points and for every game we don't pick anything up it gets more serious," said the Wolves chief.
"That makes pressure for every game. We're not out of it at all but we have to pick up points quickly.
"But it's important we stand together now and believe.
"We have no margins and have to toughen up and not feel sorry for ourselves and continue playing."
