Stale Solbakken admits Wolves were out-fought
Stale Solbakken has accused Wolves of being "out-fought" in the 2-1 Championship defeat at Huddersfield on Saturday.
Wolves lost out on a club record fourth successive away win without conceding after goals from James Vaughan and Jermaine Beckford left them trailing 2-0 at half-time.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's sixth goal of the season gave them hope in the last half-hour but Wolves could not find an equaliser.
"I wouldn't say it was a bad first half, but we were a little bit out-fought in some areas," said Solbakken.
"It was a good second-half performance but we had a long way to go after being punished hard in the first half.
"They scored two great goals – maybe after a lack of marking in the penalty area and some stupid ball losses – but they were all over us for the first 20 minutes."
Solbakken believes Wolves were unlucky not to claim a point after pushing Huddersfield hard late on.
"We got better and better and we found our feet during the second half, when we probably deserved to score more than one," he added.
Wolves Under-21s host Chelsea Under-21s at AFC Telford tonight (7pm).
