Wayne Hennessey's return a boost for Wolves
Wolves today a massive boost with the news that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is set to return to full training on Monday.
The Wales international has recovered from a ruptured cruciate ligament sustained in April and is ready to start challenging for his place back.
"Wayne should be 100 per cent back next week," said manager Stale Solbakken. "He should be more or less back in full training."
The return of Hennessey will mean Solbakken has three fully-fit senior goalkeepers.
"It will leave us in a strong position with the goalkeepers but he still has a long way to go in terms of match fitness and match situations," said the boss.
Carl Ikeme has been impressive this season and the manager hasn't yet given thought to Hennessey being loaned out.
"I haven't thought about it – the important thing is he comes back," said Solbakken.
Meanwhile Georg Margreitter is also ready to rejoin training after an injection in his hip.
But Wolves' other casualties are some way off after Razak Boukari suffered a slight setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
"Razak's progress isn't going as quickly as we hoped, but it's moving steadily forward, and going to plan," said the boss.
"Stephen Hunt has had his operation and Jamie O'Hara is doing his work as normal."
