Wolves today warned their star players that they may have to come to terms with staying put.

The transfer sagas involving Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis have hit deadlock, with no further progress over the weekend.

Sunderland are expected to increase their offer for Fletcher beyond the £13m understood to have been offered, and edge towards Wolves' £15m valuation.

But West Ham have indicated they are out of the running for Jarvis, having failed with two bids culminating in a £9.5m package, of which £6.5m is up front.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce appeared to be ready to withdraw from the race for the 26-year-old winger on Saturday night when he said: "It doesn't look like that one is going to happen. We're looking at other targets now."

A Molineux source indicated: "Both players need to get their heads around the fact that they may have to stay at the club."

Manager Stale Solbakken today said Fletcher should be available for Saturday's visit of Derby.

"He should be available for the weekend," said the boss.
