Wolves are "ready for the fight" to keep their top players this summer and promise: "Nobody will leave this club unless it's at the right price."

Chief executive Jez Moxey insists no-one else will be "calling the shots" as he prepares to lead the struggle to keep top targets Stephen Fletcher and Matt Jarvis at Molineux.

The goalscoring duo head the list of candidates likely to attract offers from the Premier League Wolves left behind.

But both are under contract and subject to valuations in excess of £10m – and Moxey is adamant Wolves are in a strong enough position to stick to their guns if and when rival clubs come calling.

"We're prepared for the fight," says Moxey. "Because of the strict fiscal policies we've implemented over the years, we're in a strong position to call the shots and not for someone else to call them because of third party pressures.

"We've not got a bank saying: 'You need to reduce your overheads.' We have not got a third party club saying: 'We know you are in the mire – we'll help you by buying so-and-so but obviously at a discount rate'.
