Nenad Milijas backs Wolves against Liverpool
Nenad Milijas believes every dog has his day – and they will prove it against Liverpool tonight.
Nenad Milijas believes every dog has his day – and they will prove it against Liverpool tonight.
The Serbia international, who is in line for a recall with Karl Henry starting his three-match ban, reckons an old canine saying from his homeland will prevail as Wolves face up to the prospect of trying to end their eight-match Premier League winless streak against the in-form Reds.
Liverpool go into tonight's clash buoyed by knocking both Manchester super-powers out of two cups in the last week.

The manner of their performances left Milijas hugely impressed – but feeling the underdog can leave their illustrious visitors with plenty to chew on.
"They've been playing great – I watched the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final against Man City and they were amazing," said the midfielder.
"It was a great game and, for me, there were much better than City.
"They knew from the start what they wanted to do and they're playing some great stuff at the moment.
"But we're the home team, it's in front of our fans and we must win this game.
"In Serbia we say 'small dog has his house and if a big dog comes to take his house, the small dog will overpower him because it's his house'.
"So we will try with all our strength to win – we want to be flying in front of our fans to get those three points."
While Kenny Dalglish's side have been hogging the headlines, Mick McCarthy's side have been kicking their heels in frustration after their defeat against Villa.
But Milijas feels the 10-day break could work either way.
"They've had two massive games before playing us so you never know," he said.
"We've had time to get ready and to rest before this game."
Wolves go into the game having been dumped into the relegation zone for the first time this season.
But after playing a part in survival for the last two years, Milijas insisted confidence hasn't been hit.
"We've all been in this position before and we've got plenty of games left," he said.
"We might take nine points from our next three games and everyone will say we're out of it.
"But I think we have the team and the fans – everything we need - to stay in the Premier League.
"For me, the confidence hasn't dropped. The most important thing is we don't finish in the bottom three."
Milijas believes the quality of the team and Wolves' play has improved, but admits mistakes have meant results haven't followed suit so far this term.
"This is our third season in the Premier League and I think our style of play has improved," Milijas said.
"But our results have not and the most important thing is we start winning.
"I think that first three points will help massively and I hope we can take them against Liverpool.
"Small mistakes are costing us – look at the Villa game, it was highlighted then.
"Look at Arsenal and Tottenham away, we took a point from those games because we didn't make those small mistakes."
Wolves haven't won since beating Sunderland 2-1 on December 4 and Milijas admits the pressure is growing.
And the playmaker insists the fans' role in turning things around is vital, adding:?"They're with us all the time and want to help us and we really appreciate them."
