Wolves right-back Kevin Foley will be out for up to two months after undergoing ankle surgery.

Boss Mick McCarthy had hoped the 26-year-old might only be out for a month following a scope in London on Tuesday, but the Ireland international ended up having a flap of cartilage removed.

"We're probably looking at somewhere maybe six to eight weeks to be playing again," said Wolves' head of medical Steve Kemp.

"The surgeon didn't find any surprises, and there was no major damage."
