Rob Smith in a fury after Bucks slide to defeat
Furious AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith has slammed his players after feeling 'let down' following derby defeat to Hednesford Town.
Smith was critical of his side's performance throughout last night's encounter – as they surrendered their three-game unbeaten run and squandered a chance to leap out of the National League North drop zone.
The Bucks led at half-time through Graham Hutchison but conceded three second-half goals to fall to a miserable defeat and remain rooted to foot of the table
"We didn't compete. First half was even, we got the goal but in the second half we didn't compete or win any second balls," Smith said.
"I think the lads have let all of us down. Their equaliser epitomises us, their left-back waltzes through a number of tackles and they score a free header."
The former Pitmen boss was extra critical on his side after they put in a performance that was a far-cry from Saturday's win over Bradford Park Avenue.
"The difference from Saturday is beyond belief. There were about five or six players who wanted to know and the rest weren't getting involved."
