AFC Telford's season ticket sales on the rise
AFC Telford are vowing to repay supporters' loyalty after revealing an increase in season tickets sales for next season.
Bucks managing director Lee Carter has confirmed that Early Bird purchases this summer have exceeded last year's figures with over 400 fans already snapping up tickets.
The news comes despite Telford suffering relegation from the Conference Premier in April.
Carter said: "We have exceeded Early Bird sales from last year. Given our relegation that is great news.
"We have got a committed, loyal bunch of supporters, a core that are really behind the club and want it to do well.
"What we have got to do now is repay supporters' faith by putting a team together that reflects our mission."
The club announced a range of reductions to both season tickets and matchday admission when it unveiled the Early Bird scheme back in March.
Among the offers, adult and concession season ticket prices were reduced while The Bucks continued their policy of free season tickets for under-8s and added free matchday admission for that age group.
The free offer has also been extended through the Telford Loyalty Card scheme, with a full-paying adult on match days entitled to two free under-16 tickets.
The club is hopeful that such initiatives will help increase crowds at the New Bucks Head in the future.
Carter said: "It is obviously our role and our job to expand that core of supporters and we are looking forward to seeing what the impact of the reduced admission and free admission in many instances for children will do to crowds.
"We want to really start to build back that family atmosphere that we have perhaps lost a bit over the last couple of years."
Carter added that work to strengthen the team for the season was continuing.
Boss Steve Kittrick is pursuing a host of targets including a couple of strikers, a winger and a central midfielder.
